Hearst Brand Development and Shade Tree Greetings announced the launch of Esquire Greeting Cards.

Offering a unique mix of intelligence and wit, Esquire is the only general-interest lifestyle magazine for men. Three of the four greeting card lines draw from Esquire's popular editorial features – "The Rules," "Things a Man Should Never Do Past 30," and "10 Things You Don't Know About Women" – and will be marketed under the collection name "Highly Amusing Cards for Men (and the Women Who Love Them)". The retail price is $2.50 per card.

The fourth collection, "What I've Learned," feature excerpts from celebrity interviews featured in the magazine, with a portion of the proceeds going to Donors Choose, an organization that fulfills needs and fosters innovation in public school classrooms. Some of the cards will benefit other charities at the request of the featured celebrity.

Quotes are from celebrities in varied walks of life including legendary, Ray Charles, astronaut Buzz Aldrin, popular actor Alyssa Milano, and Chef Mario Batali. They reflect a celebration of life and offer wisdom, guidance, wit, and encouragement. The cards feature metallic ink, are printed on a premium stock, and are blank on the inside for your message. They are packaged in a cellophane sleeve at a suggested retail price of $3.00 per card.

"Hearst Brand Development's partnership with Shade Tree Greetings for Esquire is another important extension for Hearst," said Glen Ellen Brown, vice president of Hearst Brand Development. "Esquire is the leader in the men's lifestyle category with over a decade of National Magazine Awards fueled by a unique editorial voice that is both serious and irreverent. This new product launch is the perfect means to share the magazine's unconventional wisdom in a collection of cards that are humorous, witty and insightful."
